Thanks for visiting my website. My name’s Mark Ellison and I’m a photographer based in the north-west of England with a passion for wildlife and landscapes.

When I’m not pointing my camera at birds, animals (who seem to have a sixth sense to run away when I’m about to hit the shutter button) and wild landscapes, I’ve been known to photograph the odd wedding and also point my lens at racing cars too.

But for me it’s mainly all about the wildlife we share our planet with, and the wild landscapes in which they live. And that’s what I’ve decided to focus this on. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places, including that holy grail of locations for any wildlife photographer, Kenya and the Masai Mara in east Africa.

Through the galleries on this site I hope to share what are my favourite images, show you what I’ve been up to recently with my latest work and I’ll aim to keep the blog updated with various ramblings.

I’d love to hear from you if you’ve any comments or questions or (however unlikely!) you’d like any tips or advice. Feel free to use the contact link at the top of the page to fire me off a message.

I hope you enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I did taking them. This is my main portfolio site, but I also make frequent updates to my Facebook and Flickr pages:
